After completing your A-levels, you’ll hop straight onto the career ladder and get a head start in carving out a career in law, on a starting salary of £17,465.
You’ll receive hands-on training and develop a rigorous understanding of legal matters, ranging from client requests to transactions, spanning a number of legal specialisms. You’ll also be involved in preparatory work, drafting documents and carrying out research, naturally gaining more responsibility as you progress onto the second year of the apprenticeship.
Alongside gaining practical experience, you’ll be studying one day a week towards attaining the Paralegal Level 3 Apprenticeship Certificate of Higher Education at BPP University Law School, with fees covered by the apprenticeship levy.
Opened in 2016, you’ll be based in NRF’s office in Newcastle, the hub of legal innovation and digital transformation. You’ll be working with an eclectic mix of lawyers, legal technologists and business analysts to help solve and provide cutting-edge solutions for some of their clients’ most complex and legal business problems.
Apprentices will receive regular appraisals throughout the two-year training period, and on successful completion of the programme, there’ll be an opportunity to apply for the six-year Solicitors Apprenticeship Programme based in London.
As well as academic achievements, be sure to showcase your strengths and motivations, as well as your extra-curricular achievements. NRF runs a fair and contextualised recruitment programme, therefore any mitigating circumstances will also be taken into consideration.
Submit an online application via NRF’s website by 27th June (11.59pm). You’ll be required to submit a cover letter, in addition to providing details about work experience and referees.
Securing a place on this programme is subject to a successful application, telephone interview and assessment day.
