Our society’s obsession with social media means we are always connected to the world around us. Law students of this generation must use this unprecedented platform of legal insight to their advantage.
Instagram is one of the most well-known social networking apps, and the presence of law-related material on this networking platform makes it a resource not to be missed for budding young lawyers and professionals alike.
Instagram is designed so that users can share photos and videos from mobile devices. Users create an account, which allows them a profile and access to a news feed. When the users uploads a photo or video on Instagram, it will be displayed on their profile. Other users who follow you will see your posts on their news feeds.
Legal-minded posts that do not automatically appear on your news feed can be found by searching for a hashtag in the Discover section of the app. Some popular hashtags to follow to connect to the legal world are:

If you need a reminder to… ACHIEVE A BALANCE
Students studying the law are constantly overwhelmed with reminders of how demanding the profession can be on the outside world after graduation.
Lauren Riley (@misslaurenriley) is a perfect example of a lawyer with a work-life balance. As well as being a powerful business women who went on The Apprentice with a successful startup company, she is also a family law solicitor as St Albans.
On top of all of this, she maintains social and fitness life. She is an important role model to remind all lawyers that a career in law is achievable alongside other hobbies in life, and can be enjoyable!
